Achieveing Green Dragon level 5 last week crowns a stunning year for the 'fit for the future' programme in Wales.
The Green Dragon level 5 award is the highest level possible within the environmental management standard . This independently audited system recognised the stunning strides taken by the team in Wales over the last 4 years in lowering its environmental impact.

The previous week at a prestigious award ceremony in the House of Lords on the bank of the Thames had seen the team in Wales also receive two national awards for its 'fit for the future programme' around its water management approaches. Winning in both the innovation category and Welsh exemplar.

The awards were sponsored by Waterwise and the Environment Agency. As well as the international Ashden gold award earlier in the year and finalists in the Business Green Leaders' award this has been a superb year for the whole team. But it must be remembered this is the culmination of 5 years of work - focusing on the basics and building the systems around what we do.

And finally the region/ country are also finalists in the National Sustainability Award for the approach taken in installing its 1600 PV panels across the country. Cross fingers, results out in December.
