50 things: award winning campaign!
The 50 Things team has won a flurry of awards, beating some of the biggest consumer and digital campaigns this year.
On 4 October the 50 Things online experience captured the imagination of judges at the Fresh Awards with its creative content, scooping the top accolade for the Public Sector category, bringing home the Gold.
The website success didn’t stop there as 50 Things also won Best Not for Profit Website with our digital agency E3 at the Drum Awards for Digital Industries (DADI) on 8 November, beat tough competition from top agencies and campaigns for The Multiple Sclerosis International Federation, PlanUKand Gallery of Mo.
The Trust’s most successful behaviour change campaign to date has sparked interest right across the country.
“50 things is something really special – a campaign rooted in a conservation challenge, the generational disconnect between children and nature, that helps solve that challenge in a creative, engaging and fun way. We’re really proud of winning these awards, and there’s plenty more to come!” said Mark Scott, director of the National Trust Marketing Agency.
Media interest has been incredible and resulted in the PR team winning Highly Commended at the PR Week awards for Best Not for profit campaign of the year with the help of PR agency Mischief. We were up against the likes of Cancer Research and the British Heart Foundation.
The entire marketing effort also received appreciation with a commendation at the MI Awards for Best B2C Marketing Strategy.
Alex Hunt, Outdoors Engagement Lead, said “50 things has been a great start on the challenge we’ve set ourselves, to ensure every child under 12 develops a connection with nature, and really build that love of the outdoors among the younger age group.”
