We look after one of the greatest collections of historic gardens and plants in the world, thanks to our 450 gardeners and 1,500 garden volunteers. From the exquisitely atmospheric to the lovingly-restored, from the bright and the bold, to the lose-yourself-for-hours. Gardens here come in all sizes and shapes. But the one thing they all have in common? Expert and enthusiastic gardeners working on them. We’re proud to have an incredibly talented gardening team. A team which uses its horticultural skills and know-how to develop and maintain our gardens and landscapes in keeping with their history.
You’ll help us to keep these special places special. That could mean looking at improvements in presentation and interpretation, or safeguarding flora, fauna and habitats. Whatever you’re doing, we want you to share your love and enthusiasm of these magical places with visitors. So why join us as a gardener? We can think of plenty of reasons. You get to work with some of the best gardens in the world, work with experts, work with an incredible plant collections, work in gardens designed by the greats and, of course, develop your skills and grow your career. What more could you ask for?
