The National Trust is simply not like any other retail outlet. Instead of working on the high street for one of any number of brands, I get the chance to work in a really special environment. The support I get is brilliant, and I particularly enjoy being able to run my own team in my own way, managing budgets and ensuring the shop always looks its best. It's also great to have the flexibility to be able to order some of our own product ranges for the store.

The products are really special too; I think the National Trust brand says ‘quality', to our customers, and for me, it's so satisfying to know that all the profits from the goods that the team helps to sell go directly to helping the Trust to look after so many special places.
