Representatives from London and South East region were at Brighton LGBT Pride recently, to raise awareness that the National Trust really is for everyone. The event regularly attracts tens of thousands of people from all over the country.

Nymans took the lead for the region as part of its new off-site promotion business. Jenny Henderson, Nymans Visitor Reception Manager, who led the team said 'We wanted to promote the National Trust as being relevant to everyone as well as encouraging visits to local properties, membership and volunteering. Each year we try to find new ways to engage with visitors at the event. This year I asked a local artist to paint a leafy background and we invited people to add a flower themselves. The finished painting was raffled at the end of the day and the lucky winner took it home'.

Simon Lee, Nymans General Manager, said: 'We feel strongly that the Trust must get out to where people are and we were delighted with the response – members loved seeing us at the event and there was lots of interest from others too."
