Focus on Shikha Dhaundiyal - Functional Tester

I’ve been working as a Functional Tester for around seven years now. Ever since joining the National Trust three months ago, I’ve thrived on the software testing challenges here and really enjoyed solving complex problems.

As Britain’s biggest conservation charity, I’m thrilled to be working in such a great working environment filled with immense learning opportunities. The National Trust believes in long-term thinking and exceeding customer expectation which – along with my colleagues’ enthusiasm and professionalism – means I consider myself really fortunate to be a part of what’s going on here.

Even though I’ve been here just a few short months, my time has been a great learning journey full of learning and new experiences. I’ve had the opportunity to see and experience the end users’ challenges in IT usage and have had the chance to work with dedicated professionals supporting our multiple business areas.

I’m really looking forward to growing with the National Trust. I hope to become an independent Functional Tester, managing my own work while helping, mentoring and guiding other colleagues. I’d also quite like to explore the challenges of people management.

I would encourage everyone who’s thinking about a career move to consider becoming a part of the National Trust – it’s committed to serving customers, and at the same time, focused on the long-term growth of its employees.
